Making working clones of Hackintosh drives

You will need to make working copies of Hackintosh drives to test out new installations or just to try an update in case it breaks the OS.

1. Install Carbon Copy Cloner 4 for a 30 day trial.
2. Make a Clone of the drive that includes the OS recovery partition.
3. Boot with the original hackintosh drive into the Clover menu.
4. Select the new clone drive from the Clover menu and boot from it.
5. Install Clover into the new drive : Sourceforge Clover
6. Mount both the EFI partitions from the original drive and the cloned drive.
7. Copy the original EFI folder and replace the new EFI folder in the cloned drive.
8. Remove the original drive and store in a safe place.
9. Boot to the cloned drive and use as normal.

You can choose to keep the original drive inside the PC and use CCC to keep the Original periodically updated with verified changes from the cloned drive.
