There may be many graphics cards available that have similar chipsets and specifications but just with a different ID. If a similar driver is known to be compatible, you can force MacOS to load it.
You have to edit and insert the ID into the relevant kext.
- Ensure all references to Nvidia, including CUDA and the web drivers are uninstalled.
- Remove configurations made to config.plist in the EFI partition that are related to a previous Nvidia card.
- Copy Lilu and whatevergreen kext to the relevant folders as instructed here.
- Remove any irrelevant kext in the EFI partition
- Edit the respective kext and perform and permissions and cache update before reboot with instructions from here.
You should have accelerated graphics when you reboot!
